Gaukurinn has been around since 1983 and was the FIRST bar in Iceland to serve beer. This legendary venue has been a staple in the Icelandic music scene, where many of Iceland’s biggest artists started out. In more recent years Gaukurinn has established itself as a safe haven for queer/alternative/drag and other artists in Iceland and is home to many comedy shows, including Bring The Laughs, Linda’s Alternative Assembly, and more!
